One of Destined Records’ biggest tracks finds it’s way back onto current dance floors around the world. The chart topping “The Drill” track got remastered and loaded with a pompous remix pack for a late 2015 re-release!

UK based producer and artist Matt Schwartz, known for his work on Massive Attack, Selah Sue, Ne-Yo, Dragonette and his countless dance hits under several guises such as DADA, 4tune500, Deepest Blue and M’Black has written and produced “The Drill” in 2004 and has now recruited NERVO & DBN for two monstrous remixes.

Electronic dance music’s first sisters - Mim and Liv of NERVO - have catapulted The Drill back onto centre stage. The three and a half minute jaunt smears echoed vocal snippets into the corners between punctuating synths and roaring bass frequencies, while the subtle effects set the trippy mood. Skillfully placed dynamic drops ensure exhilarated hands-in-air moments.

The DBN trio boost the energy levels with a high-stepping groove. They add a heady dose of muscle and menace to their raving rework, though the original’s luxuriant qualities are still present in the main melody. Again it’s all about the epic drops, or as DBN put’s it: Crank it up!

The formidable Serbian DJ duo Wise D & Kobe joined forces about a decade ago. Since then they presented their pumping tech-house grooves at numerous clubs throughout Europe as well as on many different festival stages. Great Stuff is extremely excited to welcome them to the label with their brand new Hefter EP.

The EP includes a total of three thick club-movers, that all follow a special formula. Rocking grooves combined with heavy sub-basslines and cracking snares. Funky samples keep things fresh, while sleek pads set an uplifting vibe. We can see these get played out in the sun quite a bit this year!

Wise D & Kobe - Kanuma

Great Stuff are starting the new year off a bit deeper with a gorgeous new release by the Montreal based Lex & Wood duo. They delivered two balanced, warm and driving deeper house cuts that will keep dancefloors moving and grooving for many more winter nights to come.

Lex & Wood’s b-side original ‘Make You Feel It’ follows a similar style, although its snappy hi-hat patterns inject it with a whole lot of energy. Fuss-free and straightforward tech-house beats and chords hypnotize and suck us into their groove instantly. Again it’s all about the limbering low frequencies!

Our Debut Transmission today is the remix from Greco (NYC) who provide his own interpretations of the original tracks in the form of a quality remix. They manage to keep the original vibe intact while adding their very own trademark sounds to their versions.
