This pack includes three remixes from NYC house legend Harry Romero ironically delivering a storming techno remix; Dutch techno legend Steve Rachmad giving us a classy, dubby and filtered mix, and upcoming Italian artist Paride Saraceni beefing up the original "Transition" track. Global pioneer Dubfire lands on Crosstown Rebels for the first time this February, also featuring the legendary Carl Craig and the enchanting vocals of Kate Elsworth, they combine to create the captivating Lotus.

Lotus opens with a delicate bassline, textures of atmospheric synth are introduced as the sensual whispers of Kate Elsworth fade in, her stunning vocals gradually become more prominent, before all the unique elements of subtlety come together. On the dub version, hypnotising chords blend with a functional groove, retaining the mystical romance of the original, it will translate this magic to the dancefloor. Recently picked up by Damian Lazarus for a release on Crosstown sister label Rebellion, Tibi Dabo adds his style of deep melancholy and spirited percussion to the remix.

Oxia - Sun Step (Original Mix)

Oliver Schories is returning to 8Bit Records after a year -  with the Monza EP. 

Hamburg-based Oliver has been a welcome addition to the Germany house community for more than a decade now. After his latest album, Paradigm, and a collaboration with Jan Blomqvist in the summer of 2020, new original music will be out in January 2021 on Gorge’s and Nick Curly’s 8 Bit imprint.

Opening with the title track, ‘Monza’, a stab-led groove evolves organically adding nuanced layers and a rubbery bass. Warm and inviting, the piano in the first break creates a welcomed tension against the muted vocal ad libs. On the flipside, ‘Levo’ begins with more low end grunt. Melodics develop with time and form the main groove hypnotising the listener before chord sweeps and whispered vocals add warmth and musical depth.
