This song was recorded at my studio on Alberta St. in Portland, OR over a summer weekend in 2004. This was a real game changer for me. These guys told me straight out that they didn't want to wear headphones and they just wanted to play live, like they were just jamming in their basement. So I set the bass amp, guitar amp and drums up in the main room. The whole time I'm thinking to myself "this is going to sound like ass". Amazingly though not only were the sounds I was getting great, but because these guys were all together in the same room, just jamming out, this relaxed and natural vibe came through.
