Lesley Hazleton is a British-American author whose work focuses on the intersection of politics, religion, and history, especially in the Middle East. I initially heard about her from a Ted Talk that she gave called, “On Reading the Quran” that went viral. I am extremely thankful to host a podcast where I can bring on wonderful and interesting people like Lesley to share her amazing work with you all. She joins us this episode to talk about her background, and what lead her to end up writing a book on the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Shia Sunni split.
