The Angst Of Now - sNeak aTtack

This piece is dedicated to monster bassists Peter Kowald and William Parker and centers around Peter Kowald's passing on to the next realm, based on a stry I heard from William Parker's wife that stunned and stayed with me to the point that I HAD to write a piece about it.  Around the same time myself and Bay area bassist/composer/curator Lisa Mezzacappa started collaborating, agreeing to co-write most of the music for our budding trio.  This was one of the first pieces I wrote us.

Patience (Waiting for William)

The ExPosed Blues DUO expanded to a TRIO right before Xmas at the 55BAR, adding Tim Dahl(of Child Abuse) into the mix.  It turned out to be a steamy, heady brew.  You can judge for yourself here with this live, brittle, rough version of the classic Rev. Gary Davis Blues done in a new way - I start it off and its improvised from scratch.
