Don't bring me no damn Barbies...I AM Angela Davis, Barbara Jordan, Shirley Chisholm, Nina Simone and more… Maya Angelou, Nikki Giovanni, Harriet Tubman, and more…Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Your Mother, My Mother, Your GrandMother, My GrandMother, Our GRAND MOTHERS ALL for helping US thru the struggle…Yes indeed, There is room at the table for YOU and for ME….and when it is TIME we will ask BARBIE if she would like to sit down….because there is room at the table for us All.

The Oscar Micheaux Family Theater Program presents, A Prayer to the Ancestors, written by Haywood Fennell, Sr., recited by Rhonda D. Greene with a recording of Marian Anderson in the background singing Motherless Child. The prayer is part of the First Annual Bridge Awards celebrating cultural works of Black people from the Harlem Renaissance to Broadway, as well those continuing to bring awareness of the cultural works of African Americans in and around Boston, MA.

A Prayer To The Ancestors

I hold an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Hampton University. I have a Master of Teacher Education in Middle School Social Studies, also certified  to teach Business K-12 from Simmons College. I am *three courses away from receiving a Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Trauma from Cambridge College and after spending over 14 years as a classroom teacher I am currently working in the field to combat Domestic Violence. I love the Arts and am a true sports nut, officiating HS and youth basketball to stay close to the game.  I am an Educator, Mentor, and Coach...Renaissance Woman.  

*smh...only an internship, research paper, and adolescent psychopathology and I keep dragging my feet!
