The song is inspired by a six month long busking trip through Europe I did back in 2011. Got robbed in Stockholm, Sweden, met a woman in Turku who had come to Finland to visit the Moomin world in Naantali. Unfortunately, the attraction was closed, so she headed back to Turku, where we met. I was playing by the Aura Joki. After finishing my song Welcome to Finland - The Land Of 1000 Suicides, she called me over, and I was right about that smell.  She crashed at my place where I was  living back then. She had to head back home with airplane the very next day.

 I had moved to Turku to begin my studies of the Master's Program in Musicology at Åbo Akademi. I got in, but I was one day late when I told the school that I was indeed going to reserve my place and begin my studies. I had some band practice on that deadline day...ended up busking for six months around in Europe, and it was already autumn when I left. Yep, I got pretty familiar with music stores around Europe since strings break pretty easily when it's on the cold side. But I also had my laptop with me and asked them if I could try out some instruments. Then I plugged everything into my laptop and recorded that way in all cities I visited. But that, as they say, is another story.

We met again later in Amsterdam, Netherlands, that same year. Spent Christmas and New Year together.  Then when we wanted to move from a hostel to a hotel, we found a nice hotel, for some reason I got that brilliant idea of leaving my Takamine Hirade guitar at the reception while we go back to the Hostel and fetch all our stuff.  So... we never found that Hotel again. That was the last time I saw that amazing guitar. I made a song about that too, called "Just a Windy Kind of High on Amsterdam."

Before she eventually had to head home, she bought me a new cheap Ibanez steel string acoustic guitar so I could continue my busking trip. That was the last time I ever saw her, but I got this song.

I stumbled upon an incredible book called Book of Wisdom (Volume 1) by Harry B. Joseph. After reading only 2 pages, I felt that a song was brewing. Most of the lyrics for this song come from page 2 of this book, under a section titled “Oil Process.”

This is my first attempt at creating a song inspired directly by a book. The style could be described as psychedelic rock with a touch of stoner vibes. When I recorded the vocals, I was literally reading straight from the book as I sang.

I made this song during a couple of days from 26 - 28 January 2025. Mixed it some more, recorded some guitar  to the C part  on 3rd of February 2025 and made a silly music video for it 28th of January. It's just a bit of fun.

Maybe Your Problem Is You

Have You Ever Wondered?" is part 2, or the yang of my song "Maybe Your Problem Is You."  It's an original song. Played/sung/mixed by me. 
I made this song for a couple of days from the 4th of February to the 6th of February 2025. Rerecorded/added some vocals and mixed it on the 7th of February 2025.

I played my Bjärton Espana from 1964, which I got when I traded it for a cheap Ibanez steel string guitar sometime in Stockholm back in 2014. The electric guitar is an LTD, something.. Drum tracks that I used are recorded here and there during a 6 month busking trip I did back in 2011. I sometimes went to music stores in the city I happened to be in. Of course, as a customer too. Those strings broke all the time. You know the ones, D and G. Come on! Well, as I was a regular customer almost daily at the music stores I went to, I had a pretty good relationship with the owners of those places. They were kind enough to let me rig up mics and stuff for me to record demos and so on. Of course, I sometimes "tried out some instruments" at the same time. Then, I came up with the idea to also record a sort of drum loop library for myself, using a metronome. From this library, I edited the drum track to this song.

When I began recording this song, all the lyrics I had were just "Have you ever wondered why alcohol is legal?"  Then I borrowed. "Alcohol is one of the fastest things you can do to lower your vibration
It's been used as a tool to keep human consciousness at a lower state for thousands of years." From a book I'm reading called Book of Wisdom VOL 2 by Harry B. Joseph. The rest just kind of happened in a flow state.

I recorded instruments 25- 26th of February 2025 and went to the countryside of Porvoo, Finland and filmed the music video 26th of February 2025.

My song Nine to Five is now released on all streaming services like Spotify, Soundcloud, Deezer, iTunes and so on. Time to party! 
It was composed while on my busking tour across Europe in 2011. I began composing it in Stockholm, Sweden.  People seemed to hate it all the way to Germany.  It was when I performed it in Amsterdam when things changed. Free food, free housing and alot of other free I resist mentioning on social media. Enjoy and have an awesome weekend everyone!

I recorded a lot of my songs while busking through Europe back in 2011. This one was recorded in the old town of  in Stockholm, Sweden.
I felt something big was coming and that I wouldn't be able to perform it without crying, without playing in some open string major chord. That was the only thing I prepared for this song when recorded. Then it was same old rec

I'm beginning to record some of my old stuff properly in a studio, too. During a 6 month busking trip back in 2011, I composed lots of songs that have never been properly recorded in a studio. Soulmate is the first recording in that sense. And there are many more to come. I have also composed some new songs too, soon to be recorded as well.
