Protest Song

Dark are the days, I rest my privileged  face
Crawling into my bed without a scar to show 
This nation has become entitled and so numb 
I close my eyes and dream that it will change but that's
a lie
Maybe one day we can play in the rain 
But for now we must fight the all centuries of pain 
Coming coming down like the thunder in the sky.
The smell of burning cities their bottled tears exploding like grenades
Restless through the night they 
will march and they will fight, while the tears keep rolling down for lives cut short in this damn town. 

There is no time to rest I sit here and I hex 
While the leaders hide in bunkers after causing all this mess. Will sell you out for cash written promises in ash.
The strangled bitter youth is left to pick up all the trash. 
Maybe one day we can pay for the pain 
that we caused to the ones that we slaughtered in vain.

Burn it all to hell all  this corruption in their names
The monuments of hate will all fall down and drown forever
Exploding like grenades are all the lies and games we played 
Let’s stand and face the shame and then we purge it all forever

Remember Their Names

I wrote this song after re-watching Silence of the Lambs. I thought it would be fun to write a song from a victims and killers perspective. Wanted to create something artsy and super weird. Had some difficulty mixing all the sounds together. Would appreciate any feedback on the mixing and mastering if you have a moment. Much Love

Clocks

Katya has been singing since age 3 in performances with her father on guitar in Russia where she grew up. She joined the Moscow Children's Choir at age 6 where and developed the classical vocal style that she carries today. After moving to the US at age 10, she fell into experimental music scene in Sacramento and performed vocals in local experimental and funk bands including The Phuzz and The Dulangs. After putting aside music to build a successful career as a hair stylist, Katya returned to music writing and producing her own experimental electronic tracks. She currently produces and masters all of her tracks on her own.
