Following two seminal EPs for Lobster Theremin and a breakout debut for Nous, Route 8's 'Dry Thoughts EP' gets a wavy rework. Gone are the title track and B2 and in is 'Relaxed', a summer house anthem that slams from the high heavens. Eagle-eared LT fans will spot what this track was in it's previous guise, the rest can just sit back and be cuddled to death by warm synths.

Premiere: Ouer - The Ascent [Heist Recordings]

Tolstoi & andsanofficial return to @undernoillusionrecordings for a second EP on Ki Creighton’s ever expanding label. Pavle & Jakob along with Ki make up the newly formed residents for Colognes LivingRoom shows at the famous Heinz Gaul venue as well as their monthly shows at Reineke Fuchs and this ep shows the kind of vibes you will fine upon a visit.

Opening the package is title track “Ease” a real pounding club track that will be heavily on roation on the white isle and beyond as it serves the whole spectrum of house well. Chopped vocals and a meaty baseline see to it!

“Walkt” sees the guys head into a more darker tech house territory with warped effects and a very catchy vocal loop adding to a heavy duty kick drum.

UNI enlist label mates CDC from Liverpool to take care of the remix of “Walkt” and boy do they deliver. If you’re a fan of Marco Carola then this is for you. High energy pulsating baselines and the very clever vocal take this into the peak time for all discerning DJ’s. But its that drop that will see the biggest reaction on this. Check it for yourself!

Closing the EP is “In This House” again a solid techy workout that keeps the mood on the floor bubbling as the percussion loops and analogue baseline wraps itself into your soul.

A welcome return to the label for 2 of Germany’s rising stars.

Fancy Human’s Leigh Morgan has been knocking around a while, running Urban Torque Recordings for the best part of a decade throughout the naughties. Having reached a satisfactory level of noodle shinnery on his baldy bonce, he has put down the scalp polish and finally started making music. Project Pickle is his second solo EP.

Project Pickle includes three original tracks, nailing his colours to the mast; Dilly of a Pickle begins with a clear indication of pickle preference, Pie on the Sly the accompanying dish, and Almost Champion a nod to the ultimate disappointment in food related release punnery.

We asked Chocky to come on board for remix duties, once he’d told us which was his favourite pickle, his answer we’ll take to our graves. Chocky has been winning plaudits for his deep dubby jazzy grooves through Artful Division, Nature Soul Music, Roots for Bloom and Audio Parallax etc, and here he’s on great form with, er, a deep dubby jazzy re-imaging, lovely stuff.
