In the early 90's, in my quest for jazz & jazz rock fusion, I got together with and old friend Larry Melton and started a band .....TAXFREE!

In the 90's, along with several other musical ventures, I started a weekday jazz night called "Greg Phillips Lounge" at Heroes in West Annapolis. Joe Kaplowitz would pull up in his white van and roll out a vintage Hammond B3 organ! The GP Lounge had a Martini Bar! Gavin came in on occasion and one night he told me about an idea he had about jazz, music, me... and opening a new venue in town! This was the beginning of the Martini Bar! Hello!?!! Tsunami's, uptown west street!??! Guess who the bartender was.......!   The Duo played classics and some of Joe's originals. This is a recording from one of those nights. (recorded with a mini-cassette player and some headphones used as a mic) :)
