This is from a studio session I did a few years ago. The arrangement is by Mike Lovelace. Very Mancini-ish. 

I played my Bach 36 on this one. I hope you like it.

I was inspired by my good friend, Jim Nova, to do some multitrack recording over the past year.  This is the first track I decided to do, as I always enjoy hearing new takes on Christmas music that I've had the chance to play.  This setting of Still, Still, Still is my "winterization" of what I think is a beautiful piece that portrays the peace, solitude, and soulful harmony of the Christmas season.

Originally composed at the piano. While on the SS Constitution Orchestra, 5 of the members regularly jammed after hours, working on new originals. This was recorded in a Honolulu studio one Saturday in 1986.

It is a little loose but I have always liked the energy we were getting. I miss playing with those guys!

To break up the inevitable monotony of that constant 3/4 + 4/4, I decided to blow free of the rhythmic form, and establish a different tempo and feel.

Hats off to Steve for that great solo. 


Freedom's Fall

Music that was originally written for a short film called 'Transcendence' about an art installation. This music wasn't used but I wrote new music that was. I really liked this piece and it's now a concert piece for chamber ensemble. This is its original version with electronic goodness accompanying the piano.
