Dublin musician Greg Clifford returns with his new melodic single ‘Long Lost Friend’.

The lead track off his forthcoming album ‘Lines of Desire’ offers an American soulful sound from the multi-instrumentalist. 

According to Clifford, the song is about change and moving forward. Speaking about the new single, which was recorded at Sun Studios, Dublin, Clifford said: “The song represents sacrifice, defiance and the darkness that suppresses you. Change is always tinged with nostalgia but you must move forward in order to survive. It mirrors my journey through life as well as the music industry.” He also said the song is unlike anything he has ever recorded before, he added: “I’m incredibly proud of this song and I’m excited for people to hear it.”

Long Lost Friend

Greg Clifford is a Berlin based independent musician and interdisciplinary artist from Ireland. Clifford’s style is an authentic amalgamation of alternative rock, modern pop, folk and classical guitar fingerpicking, as well as weaving subtle electronic elements into his body of work. His compositions exude honesty and purity in which he explores thought-provoking subject matters and astute musical textures.
 
Aside from his solo endeavors, Clifford has previously worked as a session musician, producer and arranger. He has also toured internationally with a classical guitar ensemble, scored for the RTE Concert Orchestra and holds a Masters in contemporary composition.
