With lead label Formula Records soon warming up for their final release of the year, ahead of that the Formula digital arm that is F2 throws up two dark and dutty tracks that are readymade for the cold winter months ahead. Taking a left turn after the success of Deadbeat’s recent ‘Out of Line’ release, F2 delves deep into the murk of creeping bass works loitering on Nina Wilde’s hard drive, calling upon the Wolverhampton producer to roll out some of her darkest work yet.

Stark metal and bumping subs are the call of the day for lead track ‘Living Dead’, with oscillating synth-lines and rave-ready atmospherics working their way into the dance before the toughest of drops ensures this is one for the heads-down massive only. A perfect balance of sustain and release dancefloor material, ‘Living Dead’ aligns itself with those dark Plastic People corners of yore, whilst ensuring it’ll find a home amongst the dancers with low-down dirt wrapping around metallic tech-garage percussion like a robotic hand in a black leather glove.

‘Hustler’ returns to more conventional output for the burgeoning F2 imprint, without losing any of the grit outlined previously, as grime-indebted brass makes way for bassline house of the 6AM variety. One for the stamina crew, ‘Hustler’ picks up the dance where ‘Living Dead’ dropped it off, shaking off the darkness with a stepping house riddim and ascending bass melody that’ll keep the club ticking over nicely.

‘Living Dead / Hustler’ will be available on MP3 and WAV download from 20th November 2015.
