Mount Famine are a Derby based 80s and 90s influenced indie rock n’ roll project with big hooks, soaring vocals and driving guitars.

The band return with a new single ‘Offcuts’ on 15 September; a 3 minute alternative guitar / synth driven anthem reminiscent of early Manic Street Preachers, Bruce Springsteen and New Order. 

The song is a rousing anthem to the drudgery of Executive Management and work hierarchies and the ‘dispose-ability’ of workers.

The irony of someone tasting their own medicine, ’Nerve’ has a melody that will come to mind when someone drives you mad. 'Nerve’ is a frustration song dedicated to those that are tired of people that act above others, rather than equal. We're confronted with this in so many situations, whether that be at work, socially, or via the media; there can be a total lack of care and responsibility from people who believe they are more 'worthy' and 'desirable'. In a nutshell, 'Nerve' is standing up to those indiviuals and saying "get off your high horse!".
