We are back this time with a cozy home-session! Our guests will be Low Velocity Soundsystem aka Gregor, who is part of the infamous Connwax Crew from Leipzig and John Horton, who runs Half True Records. They will team up to serve us some quality chill-out and listening music. Showing us their personal favorites, music that has always been a part of their lives and tunes that bring back the good old Trakt 3 club memories. Expect a beautiful mixture of hits you might know, as well as music you may have never heard before, all in one set. As the autumn season gently unfurls, bringing cooler days and longer nights, we often find ourselves drawn indoors, where the world slows down just a bit. This time of year invites moments of introspection and the soothing balm of stress relief, creating the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in calming and tranquil sounds. 

Unrush is pleased to welcome Low Velocity Soundsystem from Leipzig & Halle to this journey. Since debuting in 2018 as part of the event series “Time To Get Lost” in Halle, LVS has cultivated a space beyond the dance floor, inspired by the legendary 90s chill-out rooms. Gregor and John have created a musical environment where ambient textures converge with trip-hop, drone, techno, and dub, revealing a deep appreciation for atmosphere and mood.

Gregor is part of the team at Connwax, which hosts a long-standing label night at Leipzig’s IfZ, while John hosts the Folding Realities radio show on Callshop Radio, also working as a live-act and producer. Both bring their unique personalities to the track selection, blending their expansive music collections with a genuine and passionate spirit.

This set reflects their vibe—a unique blend of ambient-dub, drawing subtle connections to the club scene, and tinged with a delicate hint of melancholy. Without much discussion beforehand, they found themselves aligned, crafting a curation that speaks to the introspective side of the season. So sit back, breathe deeply, and let the sounds guide you through a moment of calm...
