In the land of ice and snow, where the chilly winds do blow,
Lived a penguin named Pete, with a dream he couldn’t let go.
While his friends would waddle and slide on their belly,
Pete looked up at the sky, dreaming of something more smelly.

Flap his wings and soar so high.
He knew he wasn't built for the sky,
But he said, “Why not give it a try?”

He climbed up a hill, as high as he could,
Flapped his little wings, like he thought he should.
He took a deep breath, and with a mighty leap,
He went tumbling down, in a big fluffy heap.

He tied some balloons to his derriere.

He built a catapult from an old fishing trap.
With a twang and a whoosh, he soared through the air,
And landed in a pile of seaweed and despair.

Then one sunny day, as he sat feeling blue,
An albatross named Al said, “I believe in you.”
He took Pete on his back, and up they did rise,
And Pete finally flew, seeing the world from the skies.
