[CAT] Eixamplem el context dels cants sacres més enllà de la litúrgia cristiana, volem apropar i compartir la bellesa d’aquesta música de manera transversal a diferents col·lectius, edats, ètnies i cultures. Aquest cop, a la pista de ball.

Combinem el pes històric del cant autòcton amb el corrent musical contemporani que no entén de límits geogràfics ni polítics. Partim d’ingredients essencials: els modes reiterants de les melodies gregorianes, la pulsació cíclica del techno i la contemplació de les formes de vida fonamentals, les del microcosmos.

Gregotechno és la unió de cant cristià primitiu sobre bases d’electrònica minimalista.La creació musical s’il·lustra amb visuals de microorganismes extrets de paratges naturals sacres: esglésies, convents, monestirs i els seus voltants de diversos indrets de Catalunya.


[ENG] We broaden the context of sacred songs beyond the Christian liturgy, we want to approach and share the beauty of this music across different groups, ages, ethnicities, and cultures. This time, on the dance floor.

We combine the historical weight of indigenous singing with the contemporary musical trend that knows no geographical or political boundaries. We start from essential ingredients: the repeating modes of Gregorian melodies, the cyclical pulsation of techno and the contemplation of the fundamental forms of life, those of the microcosmos.

Gregotechno is the merging of primitive Christian singing on a minimalist electronic base. The musical creation is illustrated with visuals of microorganisms taken from sacred natural places: churches, convents, monasteries, and their surroundings in various locations of Catalonia.

Gregotechno fuses the sacred modes of Gregorian chant with the pulsating energy of electronic music.

In its live ritual, this musical hybrid interacts with video art of Romanesque architecture and its microscopic cosmos.

Based in Barcelona, the project blends multisensorial elements into a transcendent and festive experience that bridges past and future, sound and body.

At the end of 2024, Gregotechno presented its debut album and its live LA LITÚRGIA DEL COS, a ritualistic celebration of dance and historical reverence.
