Please welcome this exciting new classic meets electronica project which has begun in the summer of 2010. 
Floria Rey meets Frankie Flowerz and almost instantly musical interests melt together, blending into a sound that is authentic, warm and captivating. Having performed all over Europe with her skillful and magical prowess of the violin, Floria Rey is no newcomer, she has been fiddling professionally for 35 years on the violin, and also successfully runs her own music school. After completing her classical education, she became the first Violinist in the Symphony Orchestra for over 15 years. Floria herself is a genre-crosser who draws no distinction between classical music and pop or electronica. Upon hearing the results from the spontaneous recording sessions in his studio, Frankie decided to work with Floria, turning her wonderfully seamless violin performances into captured moments on the harddrive; combining electronics with cheeky bits. After almost 6 months of recording, this is the outcome and more is to come. Berlin based Funkhausmusic presents the first batch of recordings from this wonderful piece of art.
This is “Moonlight Sonata”, (originally composed by Beethoven) improvised and revisited by Floria Rey; produced and arranged by Frankie Flowerz complete with remixes from Get Physical’s Siopis, B-Pitch’s “Mr Statik”, UK ‘s head honcho from Electric Sheep Lee Waxman and finally, newcomer from Berlin, DJ Oorange.

Gina Estrada has been singing since the age of 6. Possessing a unique and identifiable voice, Gina enrolled in the Jazz School in ST Gallen, prior to that she had vocal operetta lessons .It wasn't long before the time would come for stage appearances. And it did.. during her free time Gina wrote lyrics and jammed with bands where she would spend hours looking for the right instrumentals to fit her voice and style.- -She was asked by Mokka, a Swiss Trip Hop Band to be the front-lady and the past 9 years has taken her from stage to stage. Performing live with them. It was with them that Gina begun combining electronics with her vocals, experimenting and discovering new terrains.- It wasn't long before she hooked up with Merge Of -Equals and some brilliant work was done. Jazz, Soul and Downtempo was the vibe Gina was getting into..Not only that, she was also developing a liking for Techno and House. It was -time to move to unexplored pastures . 15 years after her first band and that first experience, Gina Estrada presents a unique EP on Funkhausmusic . Equipped with solid remixes from Boston's Berliner Justin Massei, Berlin's newbie Oorange, Groove Collective's Nappy G and Frankie Flowerz, this is her first appearance on Funkhausmusic. She has also thrown in a bonus track "Remove the Spell- which clearly enters the downtempo territory. Fresh talents Florian Kruelke & Jens Rovske round up the remix end with their own interpretations making this release another Funkhaus special. Gina's soft and sensual vocals gets beat treatment from Berlin's electronic influences. - The Mecca of electronics harmonises with Gina Estrada. Let the music speak for itself.

A woman once complained to Greg Oorange “because of you I couldn’t stop dancing and I nearly wet myself”. Another one swooned “next to Paul Kalkbrenner you are my favourite DJ”. An ecstatic sweat-soaked guest yelled to Greg Oorange “you’re the best DJ I’ve ever seen performing here”.
At 9 years of age Greg Oorange discovered his calling as a DJ when, just using an old tape recorder he sync-spliced together his first gig. For the last 15 years he has been mixing and spinning the hottest sounds in some of the top hotspots of Berlin, Hamburg and Leipzig. Greg Oorange also ensures for crowded dance floors at ceremonial events, exclusive galas and festive wedding receptions. With his unique style and his fine sense for the musical tastes of his guests, coupled with the timing of a trapeze artist and his musical versatility makes Greg Oorange one of the most flexible of the All-round DJs.
Starting with Pop then Disco and Soul, his path led him through Funk and Hip-hop into Rock, up to Indie and then on to Balkan Beats and Electro Swing. Since 2011 Greg Oorange being a member of the DJ pool “Electric Monday”, regularly rocks Deep- and Techhouse as well as the legendary Tresor in Berlin. Two years ago he started producing his own House-Tracks. His first Remixes for Gina Estrada’s “Picturing My Dreams” (2012) and Floria Rey's “Moonlight Sonata” (2011) were released on Funkhaus Music. In the summer of 2011 “Moonlight Sonata” reached number 8 in the German Club Charts. Right now he is working on his very first own release for the Berlin label.
Whether mixing for club nights as a resident in one of the oldest clubs in Berlin the Sophienclub, or at Leipzig's most important (sub) cultural address the Moritzbastei or as a Lounge-DJ in the excellent Berliner solar lounge, or even Deejaying on the cooking-event the "Global Soil Week 2012” with star chef Sarah Wiener and Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer. Greg Oorange knows how to inspire his guests to the upmost!
