Dream Escape marks the first collaborative release of Luis Leon and Haider Uppal as they explore their debut single into the realms of atmospherical and deep ventures. Embellished with rippling melodies that gently layer off each other, this production pulls you into an atmosphere driven break beat arrangement filled with one shots ranging from vocal delays to drum hits and textural finesses.

The broad and melodical soundscapes of the original are elevated into an alternative and trippy epic by Luca Bacchetti and his infamous 'Endless' Remixes. He tackles on the breakbeat groove with hard hitting slaps and dark, rumbling bassline rides, that builds the bases for a story-driven dancefloor re-imagination, filled with additional vocal pads and further textures that come crashing into a slapping arp lead.

Es ist Mitternacht im letzten Haus der Igelhecke. Draußen plätschert der Sommerregen. DAS MAER ist müde. Schon zwei Lieder haben die drei Musiker an diesem Tag geschrieben. Für ein drittes fehlt die Kraft. Man fläzt nun also, umgeben von blinkendem Equipment, mit dem Feierabendbier in der Hand herum und redet. Miteinander – und auch mit Jazzbassist und Freund der Band Andi Schmid, der zu Besuch ist und sich durch die Ergebnisse der letzten Tage klickt. Und auf einmal werden die Gespräche angeregter, aus dem Rumhängen wird eine Jamsession und aus der Jamsession wird: ‚Dunkelheit‘. Ein Song so schön zerbrechlich, der zurückdenkt an die Dunkelheit an sich, die doch früher so beängstigend sein konnte und doch irgendwann auch ein Refugium wurde, ein fantastischer Ort voller Möglichkeiten und ein Rückzug ins ganz Eigene. Das passt mit seiner kindlichen und melancholischen Art so gut zur Band, dass Dunkelheit ein perfekter Kandidat für die erste Singleauskopplung ihres Debutalbums ist, ein erster Hinweis darauf, wohin die Reise mit ‚Momoko‘ führt. Also seid gespannt und hört genau hin, am besten in der Dunkelheit.

Katermukke is more than proud to present VALENTIN, Dan Bay & Le Rubrique with their absolutely amazing debut EP “Wir sind Kinder” 

"Wir sind Kinder" is a hymn to freedom for all people without the support and acceptance of the majority of society who still have to fight every day to be who they are and to be able to love who they want.  However the track doesn't bear witness to complaints, the track bears witness to hope. “We are children - and we are many of them”.

Lyrically as well as musically, the downtempo piece does a balancing act between lightness and drama - like the soundtrack of a dream. A minimalist electronic beat to dramatic tuba and harpsichord. 

The accompanying remix by Niconé expresses nothing less than the basic essence of the track: "We fly when we dance. I am everything you are."

"Mädchen im Mond" is a classic love song: it's about long nights, seduction, attraction and togetherness. The fact that it is deliberately a love story between two women is not intended as a sales argument, but as a reflection of the reality of the environment around the singer VALENTIN. 

It's the soundtrack of a dream come true, blurring the lines of memory and hope. The whole piece is based on just one note of a kalimba. Beginning with organic sounds, the piece's dramaturgy culminates in a bass-heavy club sound that disappears into nothingness and leads back to the source. 

Dirty Doering himself created a remix for this piece, which catapults the listener into an ecstatic game of rapprochement.

With Pan-Pot’s eagerly anticipated album, 'The Other’ on the horizon, it's only fitting that we begin early with a glimpse of what’s to come. 

'The Other One' is the first of two EPs from the duo's upcoming long player and with the two carefully selected tracks; 'Pina' and '808 Nirvana', it's exactly what you come to expect from the duo. 

'808 Nirvana' is a white knuckle ride laced with fast paced stabs, shakers and snares while meteoric rises carry you into deep space. 'Pina', aptly titled after the newborn addition to the family, is a bundle of energy. It constantly grows larger and more complex before finally unleashing a fierce, sonic blast that wouldn’t seem out of place on the soundtrack to a Hitchcock film. In perfect Pan-Pot fashion. 

'The Other One' is the perfect teaser ahead of the full album release, with both tracks the epitome of the Pan-Pot sound.
