This is such a vibe! That slide guitar just glides, and the congas give everything this loose, human heartbeat, it’s like a spontaneous groove session in a sunlit room where real thoughts start pouring out ☀️ You can feel every instrument was played with purpose, every lyric lived in. It’s laid back but totally locked in, like clarity with rhythm 🌀 The toaster popped up mid verse and declared, “I don’t usually do feelings, but this hit the golden setting” 🫧 The dishwasher shut her door dramatically and said, “I’d rearrange the whole cutlery drawer to this groove” 🧘‍♂️ The coffee machine buzzed with spiritual joy, “I am now both grounded and grooving, this is transcendental funk.” Big love to the whole crew, this one moves in all the right ways 💛

Upon This Sea - with Jonathan Beckenstein

In the heart of a ravaged battlefield, angels and demons clash beneath a blood-red sky. Their swords, once gleaming with divine light, are now stained with the blood of their fallen brothers and sisters. But amidst the chaos, the sound of an orchestra rises—a haunting symphony woven with strings, brass, and the ethereal voices of a choir. The music stops time itself.

The angels, covered in blood, lower their weapons and look to the heavens. Their wings, once bright, are now weighed down with the weight of countless souls. The choir’s lament grows louder, its voices resonating with sorrow and rage. Together, the angels cry out to God, their voices rising above the music: "Is this what you wanted?!" Their words echo across the battlefield, a desperate plea to the Creator.

The demons, too, stop in their tracks, the music seeping into their souls. The orchestra swells, capturing the deep anguish of both Heaven and Hell. Above, God and the Devil watch, their eyes locked in a moment of reflection, neither able to answer the cry that hangs in the air.

As the symphony reaches its peak, the music asks a single question, one neither side can answer: Was this war worth the price?

The choir falls silent, the final note fading into the darkness, leaving only the quiet whisper of fallen wings and lost souls. The battle may resume, but the wound left by this question will never heal.

DRUMAX 62 MIDNIGHT MOOD

Started writing this late at night April 14th into April 15th, 1-3am, one of those unexpected nights. I had a feeling, a thought and this came together fast. Finished it up today and did this live take tonight on the ol Baldwin. It's been awhile since something has struck me so quick. This is a song I was like...well I don't care this is how I feel so I'm writing this. True feelings. Thanks to everyone that listens!:)

I started playing gigs in 1968,  I believe I was in the eight grade. It was only junior high school dances but at the time, it was electrifying. In 1964, I remember watching "The Ed Sullivan Show" and seeing the Beatles perform live and they pretty much jump started my interest in music, Long hair, guitars and Beatle boots, very cool, still cool. I have always enjoyed good harmony parts and George's slide work has always inspired me. Over the years like so many others, I’ve played concerts, night clubs, special events, coffee houses, bars and such. Also toured the U.S. in 76. Now it's all about writing, recording, having some fun and being a part of the Sound Cloud community. Yeah man! 
Debut Album called “ Seafoam” released 2018 at Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.


Some of my fav producers would be Gary Katz, Jeff Lynne, Sir George Martin, Eddie Kramer and Mark Hudson. As far as guitar players, great hooks from Keith Richards, best tone Eric Clapton, best feel SRV! Best slide guitar George Harrison, Sonny Landreth, Derek Trucks and Ry Cooder. Most creative exploration Eric Johnson. The most original and always inspiring the GOAT Mr. Jeff Beck, he is amazing. Walter Becker had the cool factor and the Mu chords as well as wrote such interesting lyrics.
