The light’s too bright
My reflection is far too damn real
Piercing my iris like, a butcher knife with shark’s teeth for a blade
I’d rather go blind
I wanted us to be perfect this time around
But I guess you did not fit into my purpose
And when perfect came knocking
I was so cold on the surface that the warmth from my vulnerable heart did not seep through
Take a look in the mirror

I’m mad the person I became had to be you
And I’m trying to bury these demons
But the sounds they 
They’re loud and they bleed through
The voices are far too familiar
They scream at me with harsh truths revealed
I never healed 
Even though I thought I did
A prisoner to the failure of my parent’s marriage
I fought like hell to save what we were creating
But our souls did not agree
Got me feeling like there’s something wrong with me
These empty liquor bottles remind me to intoxicate the misery
Hopefully it kills the memories and that hurting part of me that 
Won’t go away
I stare back at the mirror
This is gonna be a hell of a funeral
And it’s gonna be beautiful
For a soul that’s broken
For a passion to live
