"Officium Pastorum" is a 20 minute cantata in 10 movements for mixed  antiphonal choirs and brass. A version for orchestra is also available. Modeled upon the cantatas of Bach and the brass music of Gabrieli, Officium Pastorum is a setting of a Medieval Mystery Play and is sung in both Latin and English. The neoclassic music is all drawn from fragments of the Lutheran Chorale "Vom Himmel hoch." The audience joins in singing the chorale in the final movement.
