The song carries two messages: I’m so glad to be alive and give thanks morning and night! A feel of gospel and Motown to lift your spirits and get you moving in the morning. Alicia ‘Dyamond’ Hamilton sings lead, with Saine ‘Red’ Rapley, Deondra Riley, Sherida Green and Chase Ferguson sing backing vocals. Gregory David Roberts (GDR), the critically acclaimed author, songwriter and artist releases his first single, Drive All Night, on September 18, 2020, available on all streaming platforms, taken from his debut album Love&Faith. 

Gregory David Roberts is best known for Shantaram, the best-selling novel, which sold over 6 million copies worldwide and was hailed a ‘masterpiece’.

Drive All Night, takes you on a musical journey of love, heartache and a desire to escape the sorrow of unrequited love. Produced by GDR and Dale ‘Dizzle’ Virgo (Drake/ Florence + The Machine/ Kendrick Lamar/ Rihanna), the track opens with electric guitar over a reggae bass, before the sweet melodic vocals of Janeel Mills and Saine 'Red' Rapley soothe the soul and evoke images of the open road, as they drive through the night, crossing another parish line.

The debut album Love&Faith is an eclectic fusion of musical genres, Pop/ R&B/ Country/ Reggae/ House, with lyrical content inspired by GDR’s six years of spiritual seclusion, scheduled for release on December 4, 2020.

Lisa Run Away, is a melodic chill out track inspired by GDR’s favourite DJ Finnebassen. It explores love and our ability to feel vulnerable. It’s based on the character Kavita Singh, from Shantaram, who falls in love with Lisa.   The music cocoons you in a melodic soundscape, evoking memories of balmy summer evenings.  Saine ‘Red’ Rapley’s sticky vocals, make this a catchy chill out tune. Produced by GDR and Dale ‘Dizzle’ Virgo (Drake/ Florence + The Machine/ Kendrick Lamar/ Rihanna).

Make Me Believe It, is a house infused track (inspired by La Rochelle Band’s Sitar), whose mood enhancing keys, leads into the hypnotic vocals of Saine “Red” Rapley. The lyrics bring the album’s title of Love&Faith into focus, exploring these themes in poetic verse.  The melodic house beat, anthemic chorus, evokes feelings of balmy carefree summer days. A Fool Or A King is a country infused track, inspired by the character Khaderbhai from the novel Shantaram. The track opens with the classic sound of the harmonica, inspired by the late, great DeFord Bailey.  An atmospheric guitar rift underpins the smooth haunting vocals of Jamaican singer D’Yani and the harmonies raise the spirit of the blues, as they question was I A fool Or A King?

Gregory David Roberts (GDR), is an author, songwriter, composer and artist. He’s best known for his best-selling novel Shantaram, which has sold over 7 million copies and was hailed  “a  masterpiece” by critics. It has been translated into 44 languages and is sold in over 116 countries.  The novel draws on Gregory David Robert’s raw experiences of life as a fugitive.

GDR released his debut album Love&Faith in 2020, which takes you on a genre hopping musical journey through pop, R&B, country, house and reggae. 2021 saw him release his first non-fiction book, The Spiritual Path, based on his experiences of being off grid for 6 years, fully devoted to a spiritual path.
