Hot off of her 4th performance at the annual Essence Festival in New Orleans, Essence Magazine R&B Star Search winner Greta Prince debuted her highly anticipated single “Forever” online everywhere last month.  This marks Greta’s first solo independent effort since 2012’s R&B banger “You Should Know” produced by Warryn Campbell and Juan Winans for Malaco Music Group.  
“I wanted to sing about love, relationships, and finding your lifelong partner in a healthy, positive way”, Greta says of her new release.  
With a pulsating and driving bass line characteristic of the southern R&B/Rap familiar to her hometown of Atlanta, GA and 80’s reminiscent Hip Hop live beat boxing, the high energy “Forever” does just that.  Greta enlisted the help of hit making producer/songwriter Daniel Bryant for this collaboration.  “Forever” is the first single from her forthcoming self-titled EP slated for release this Fall.

Essence Magazine R&B Star Search winner, Greta Prince first tapped into her musical abilities at 5 years old in a local sorority youth talent show in Charleston, SC.  Her performance of the classic nursery rhyme "I'm a Little Teapot" won high praise and was well received in comparison to her much older teenage competitors.   Over the years Greta's passion for singing grew as she became a featured soloist/artist in many showcases, church events, and a favorite among her loved ones for weddings. 
A lover of all things music, Greta fell especially in love with R&B as a teenager and is now relentlessly seeking to make her mark in the industry.  "R&B music is so real and covers a wide range of topics, from love and relationships, partying and enjoying life, work, to God.  In my opinion, no other genre has the potential to appeal to as many people as R&B", she says.  While she credits her vocal talent to her Creator above, she admits she is influenced by some of R&B's hit makers, including Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Beyoncé, Chrisette Michelle, Jill Scott, and Mary J. Blige.  Her classical studies also allow her to bring versatility and a nearly 3 octave range to her performances.  On stage, Greta sings from deep within her soul with grace and poise that has been compared to legends like Diana Ross and Billie Holiday. She's capable of bringing power and intensity also, as displayed in her Essence R&B Star audition performance of Fantasia's "Free Yourself".  As a songwriter, Greta aspires to make music that "touches the young and the old AND has the power to heal, strengthen, motivate, and just makes people feel good!!"
