This song is part of my 1999 Diva Series, where I explore AI-generated music inspired by the late '90s J-pop scene.

I wanted to recreate the essence of early Shiina Ringo—the era of her first single and Muzai Moratorium. While her sound had an alternative rock edge, at its core, it was undeniably catchy and pop-driven. This track embodies that idea: "Alternative on the surface, pure pop at heart."

You might remember the original description: a flawed yet strangely compelling blend of shoegaze and triphop, inspired by MBV. Well, this version takes that broken beauty even further.

After the initial remaster, I pushed the sonic boundaries even more, layering iZotope Ozone, a compressor, and a touch of OTT for added shimmer and texture. The result? The ghostly atmosphere is now even more ethereal, the stumbling rhythm more hypnotic, and the brief guitar screams cut through with a newfound intensity.

This is the sound of happy accidents amplified. Imperfection redefined.

"This track began as an ambitious attempt to blend shoegaze energy with triphop vibes, inspired by 'MBV Arkestra (If They Move Kill 'Em)'. I started in G minor, chasing a hazy, cinematic texture—but somewhere along the way, it morphed into a very different beast. The guitar parts? Only short takes. Played half-heartedly, honestly. I just wanted some kind of noise to push against the smoothness. Then I accidentally buried the drums during mastering. The fuzz came in too hot, and I didn’t fix it. But you know what? That brokenness kind of fits. The rhythm stumbles, the guitars scream briefly, and the rest just floats. A glitchy ghost inside a dream."

Title: "犬犬 (demo)"

This is a demo track created as an homage to mizuirono_inu.  

It starts with a classic minor chord progression, then shifts up by a half step when the full band enters.  
In the chorus, it modulates once more, raising the intensity even higher.  

At this stage, bass, piano, and strings are still missing — this is just a rough first-verse version.  
It’s raw, but I’d be happy if you can feel the energy that’s already taking shape.
