He is portrayed as a transcendental and neutral deity, beyond passion, for whom there is no distinction between good and evil. Later depictions of eternal time in Greco-Roman art, such as Aion, echo his symbolism: a winged, lion-headed figure encircled by a serpent, representing the motion of the sun.
