Visiting different raves in Riga back in 1995 and Moscow’s underground clubs was the very first influence to Grey’s (real name Sergey Savin) getting deeply into electronic music. In the year 1997 he met DJ Denb (his colleague from Quadrat Musique) and buying vinyl records started at this point.

Has always loved vocals in dance music and it was quite logical, that his record collection started to organise in US Garage / vocal house styles. 1999 came with first set played in Riga’s legendary club Metro and joining QM crew. Residency in clubs Dizzi House and PuPu Lounge, regular sets in Nautilus and Tonuss are regarded as the most important achievement in his DJ career, as well as playing in neighbour countries Russia and Lithuania.

Talking about DJ Grey’s musical taste, it is required to mention how Masters At Work have inspired his DJing in general. He can be proud with no lack of MAW (label and production) records. He says that he is playing US Garage from all times, starting from early Frankie Knuckles  and Joey Negro works till nowadays , Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha and John Digweed productions. When time comes to bang out, Grey looks to farther reaches of his record shelf to pull out some progressive house records from such producers as Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Henry Saiz, Cornucopia and more.
