The LP brings together a collection of some of the finest artists working within the atmospheric Drum & Bass scene into a long form release to take listeners on a deep journey through retro and future artcore jungle sounds.

Available as a digital release and also a limited edition collectors CD, we are delighted to represent such a diverse cross section of talent on the label, and look forward to continuing this series over the coming months.

Total Science are back to grace their own imprint CIA Records, and this time they enlist the musical and technical prowess of fellow Bristol associates Hydro and War alongside themselves on The Reign EP.  Made up of four killer slabs of fast paced, moving and deep Drum & Bass, the influence of each party is immediately obvious in each track. Total Science are infamous for their breaks and rave influences that have often been present in their music since they first started releasing in the early 1990's. Hydro has been releasing music since 2003, working with a slew of respected producers such as Break, DLR, Naibu and Mako amongst many others. He is infamous for his epic sample collection and the deep vibes that he brings to tracks. And the young French extraordinaire War has already shown he is a force to be reckoned with, consistently releasing music with a sublime depth and musicality that belies his age - and also a power and punch that consistently rips clubs to shreds.  The Reign EP brings the finest attributes of each of the parties to the table, and results in a well-rounded collection of music that offers something to a wide range of listeners. Whether you want to lock them into a groove, tear the roof off the club, or get them thinking about what will come next in this world, The Reign EP has it in spades.

Musically speaking a Dyad is a set of two notes or frequencies that often denote a chord. In philosophy, Dyad represents the principle of duality. An apt title for Ewol & Skylark’s EP with each producer complementing and enhancing the other’s style.

The Dyad EP was created during a European tour, taking in Switzerland and Portugal the pair spent their days working on music and the evenings testing out their creations on the dancefloor.

Fans of both Skylark’s 2018 “Driven EP” and “Atlas Rise” their collaboration with Grey Code in 2017 will find plenty to appreciate here, a varied EP shifting from the growling bass line and lively percussion of “Agur”, to the progressive, minimal textures of “Sabre”.

Renowned for their own distinctive sounds, the next release on Dispatch Recordings brings together two producers with their own unique take on drum and bass. Perfectly complimenting the other’s style, the three tracks that make up DIS150 reveal a creative pairing that we hope to see more of.

‘Enhanced Realism’ strips back complex production methods to enhance the key components of old distorted Emu breaks, classic filters and short verbs to give us that classic ‘warehouse’ tonality.

For ‘Perpetual Motion’ Wreckless shows us his first foray in to a less syncopated style, maximising the straight step grooves that Brain does so well. The bass seems to continually fall throughout the track, working in contrast with the groove for maximum effect.

‘Incendio’ is a minimal stepper packed with a dirty acid filter bass, and that trademark Wreckless syncopation carries throughout the track, rounded nicely with deep pads and the minimal flavours Brain is known for. Perhaps the standout track on the release this really one captures both producer’s individual styles well.
