A defining year for Delta9 Recordings, 2018 saw great improvement from this label. Delta9 Recordings has continued to drop release after release, drawing from a range of artists to build a hub within drum & bass for the music which has continued to inspire countless artists and fans.

South Africa’s own addition, Krispy, is one of the figures who sets the tone for Delta9 Recordings in 2019. Following a few tunes on a label like The Dreamers Recordings and a huge remix for Lifestyle, he’s set to drop his first destructive EP.

Deadlines EP explores Krispy and his technical ingenuity, beginning the New Year with an undeniable slab of hard-driving bass rhythms which demonstrates his penchant for sonic-driven accuracy. 
‘Deadlines’ presents an A-side which is deep, rolling and unstoppable forward through rattling drum quakes and punching synthesis slicing through the mix, creating an elevated path into the record’s first drop. It’s one which takes you to an incredible and unexpected mind-blowing drop. 
‘Hey Bear’ is delivered in the same stylish fashion, whilst its grooves lie underneath a chaotic bassline. "Hey Bear" becomes more and more overbearing with its rattling weight and keep the dancefloor on fire each time. 
The EP ends with "Angry Waves" which will drive you into crazyness with his fat and dirty bassline. A heavy weapon suitable for each situation, warm up or warmer times of the night.

Each track is a return to form for Delta9 Recordings, with the roster of Delta9 Recordings steadily growing over the past twelve months!

Rockwell returns to his Obsolete Medium imprint for its third release - “Isolation Ritual”. Featuring the distorted crescendos and dissonant echoes of the Alix Perez supported track ‘Vent’, and ‘Ditch’ - a pulsating and dub-siren heavy collaboration with the man of the moment, Workforce. 

“ ’Isolation Ritual’ was borne out of me examining the relationship between my writing practices and my life outside music. For years I would shut myself away from the world in my windowless studio, concentrating on making music. It became normal for me to spend long periods by myself, isolated from the world outside and my friends and family. Over many years I became increasingly withdrawn and detached and struggled for objectivity. Tasks that would normally take an hour were taking days, as I was constantly second-guessing myself. My output ground to a halt.  

Making changes to both my creative process and the relationship I have with my music has been massively beneficial to my productivity and also to my wider mental health. Music is starting to flow again naturally. It is a slow process to unlearn years of bad habits, but hopefully ‘Isolation Ritual’ is a step in the right direction.”

One of the most exhilarating talents to come out fo the drum and bass scene in recent times, Rockwell has been heralded by the likes of Billboard, FACT, RA, Mixmag, CRACK and DJ Mag. He has released on some of the biggest and most revered labels in the game - Metalheadz, Critical, Shogun Audio Neosignal and Darkestral - and collaborated with a range of artists including Roni Size, Flowdan, Sam Binga and Breakage.

A past alumnus of both Radio 1’s Residency and ‘In New DJ’s We Trust’’, his debut album ‘Obsolete Medium’ was released on Shogun Audio in 2015 to critical acclaim, with Billboard selecting it as one of their top 10 Electronic LP’s of the year. 

2020 sees Rockwell continue on his mission, undertaking further sonic explorations with his label OBSOLETE MEDIUM.

Jabba makes his debut on Program and he does so in an explosive fashion. The Germany based producer provides a four-track EP which will align you with his sounds whilst adding a package of new music to Ram’s sister label.

The first part of the ‘Radius’ EP’s track list is ‘Alarm’, with each section of its framework punctuated by shuddering bass notes. ‘Break Dem’ follows with more hypnotising rhythms meanwhile ‘PNGNT’ merges its melodies with scuttling beat frequencies. Closing record and title-track ‘Radius’ then takes you down its winding, stair-like beat patterns. So once again, it’s time to get with the Program. One which continues to bring forward new acts who are maintaining the label's fresh material.
