Born and raised in the South Bronx.
Grey Hillz found his love for music at the age of 6. Where Hip Hop is a culture; such as dancing, rapping and graffiti. Growing up to artists like Biggie, 2Pac, jay z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dog and Mob Deep. 
 Grey picks up a pen at the age of 14 and started to write poetry.  It was in the South Bronx where Hillz faced his struggles and started to write about his life. In a world where negativity is a heavy Influence to young kids.  Grey found his passion for a sport call swimming. Swimming opens Grey Hillz' eyes to two worlds; a world where people are good and want to see him succeed. The other being, people who do not want to do anything with their lives. Over time, Grey battled his two different worlds, Upper East side Vs. the South Bronx. It was music that gave Hillz the platform to express himself. Whether, it was problems in the block with his homies or talking about college with his teammates.
   His mixtape "Life Of Plato" where he raps about his personal struggles, dropped January 4, 2016 on a very famous site in the hip hop community "Datpiff.com". The mixtape had a very New York sound. Where many would say many years from now, it's a "Classic tape". On the same year, August 1st Grey Hillz dropped his first album called "I Promise You DopeNess". Due to it's hot swimming reference lines, songs like #IDK, BLOCK, Fred Bousquet a swimming news blog called Swim Swam posted  an article on Grey Hillz. Which helped him sell over 500 copies of the album independently. There's no doubt that Grey Hillz isn't stopping until he makes his way to the top.
