Cette semaine pour la Messe de radio béguin, @oodalie nous a concocté un mix à la frontière entre son acoustique et électronique où on ne devine plus très bien qui est qui, une variation de paysages, éclectiques et mouvants avec une ambiance très cinématographique propre à la musique néoclassique.

L'artiste a fouillé dans ses influences pour y trouver des pépites et faire découvrir l'univers d'Odalie et les artistes dont la recherche sonore l'inspire.

Nomos has 11 years. In November 2011, I decided to create these podcasts to express my thoughts, my own life experience by music, because it is a constructive way to express who you are and what you are feeling.  Occasionally it can be hard to express emotions verbally, we find ourselves unable to find the right words to say how we really feel.

I generally try to depict an emotion or state of mind by using my musical knowledge. This is so because I believe that sound is a very powerful source and that depending on the way you use and combine it, you can indeed connect with the people who are listening to your music. 

Music is a form of expression. It’s a way of telling a story, music binds us in a way that language rarely does, making it almost a social glue. Most of us can relate that meeting someone with the same music taste is one of the best things, creating a deeper connection and in most cases, an emotional bond.
The relationship between music and memory is compelling. Songs from the past or some specific sounds can stir powerful emotions and memories. It’s an experience almost everybody can relate to: hear a piece of music from decades ago, and you are transported back to a particular moment in time. You can feel everything very strongly, as if you were actually there.

Alors ne t'inquiète pas, quand toi tu te brises. Tu es forcément le rêve de quelqu'un, souvent le tien, et tu t'es menti pour te donner une raison de vivre. Sache une chose, simple : il y a autant de raisons qu'il n'y en a pas.
Alors ne sois pas un piège, ni pour toi, ni pour les autres. 

Donne-toi le meilleur, le meilleur de tes tripes et du fin fond de ton coeur. Ce meilleur qui est brûlant, qui se raccroche à un élan de vie bien plus sourd mais bien plus fort que ce qui se murmure à la surface.
Alors vas-y. Prononce les mots forgés par ta propre vérité. Rends les autres à l'illusion que tu t'es fait de ta vie. Tu n'es pas cela. Tu es bien plus que cela.

Kintsugi

I once accidently cracked the guitar I've just used to make that record. True story.
They say I sat on it. It wasn't mine at that time, it belonged to a very nice guy named Jean-Pierre, fortunately he managed to fix it. I was like 5 or 6... no memory of it all. 
More than 10 years later, he gave it to me. I'm grateful.
