“777” perfectly encapsulates where Greye is at in our musical journey, and we hope that its message will ring true for anyone who is working toward what might seem like an impossible dream. You can try every cliché approach to luck in the book, but at the end of the day, the best we can all do is give ourselves over entirely to our craft, and accept the fact that we cannot control everything - that god, or the universe, or whatever you put your faith in, will open the right doors at the right times, for all of us.

“Underdog” is about beating impossible odds, and moreover, about the fact that achieving dreams can be exponentially more rewarding when the odds are stacked against you.

“Bang Bang” is a song steeped in uncertainty about the future. It is about the main struggle that makes the music business seem like such an uphill climb: actually, breaking out and being ‘noticed’ by the right person. At almost every performance, nearly every day, there is someone who believes they have the secret weapon to success or the “silver bullet,” as the song mentions. The reality is that few rarely do, but that’s not to say that their advice isn’t valuable - every opinion is important. We would never have grown as a band if we weren’t open to advice and critique. I suppose I wrote this song as a reminder to myself to never take for granted any advice from a stranger, good or bad. Anyone could be holding the keys to the kingdom - we must always be willing to allow them to unlock the gate.

"Diamonds" sort of continues the theme of the record being about beating the odds. The adage, "no pressure, no diamonds" is quick to leave out just how much pressure is sometimes required to make something truly great. "Diamonds" deals with the emotional toll that such a pressure can have on someone, but ultimately resolves with the idea that out of stress can come life's greatest rewards.

“Losing My Mind” is about the ‘man behind the mask’ – how skilled people can become at hiding how they truly feel from the rest of the world.

"Famous Last Words" is all about realizing the importance of thinking before you speak. No one knows whether or not the words they’re saying will be the way they are remembered forever. The song emphasizes that everything you say to everyone matters, so think long and hard, as the song says, “you’re live, so say something wise!”

“Hold My Own” is about finally understanding that not every external opinion has to be taken as gospel. It is about not allowing the musings of others control your life and how you view yourself, and choosing not to accept criticisms of those who do not fully understand you.
