Can you remember the worst date that you ever went on? Our new punk song, "Emergency Exit", is a story about a romantic date gone horribly wrong. It's a song that captures the anticipation of going out to dinner with someone you're excited about to only find out they had a second date lined up after yours all along.

Created on many consecutive 2 am nights, Millen, the lead songwriter, reflected on what it means to make music. What is the purpose of creating music that no one else may hear? Or more specifically, what is the purpose of writing a song about someone who will never know it exists? Wings is an introspective track about feeling like you’re growing as an artist and person, but simultaneously feeling invisible to the world. Influenced by many of their rock heroes, Wings incorporates Geddy Lee-like bass lines, Green Day’s ripping guitars, and Radiohead’s avant-garde synthesizers. Wings will round out an EP that includes “Unclear”, “Kicking Rocks”, “Morgan”, and the EP title track, “Three Strikes and You’re Out”.

"Kicking Rocks" delves into how we reflect on our past. Do we embrace the imperfections of it or tear it to shreds? The song addresses the struggle of accepting events from the past and also trying not to let past happy moments become tainted.

"Morgan" is simply about getting stood up on a date. However, it also is a commentary about losing confidence in today's dating culture. This is a dance rock song to bump on the dance floor.

Griffen Handshake is a secret handshake. But it’s also a trio of musicians, Millen Schuchert, Arjun Schuchert, and Gio Mori, who are proud members of the underground punk scene in their hometown, Pittsburgh, PA.

Their new EP, "Three Strikes and You're Out"  is their most ambitious work to date.  It features "Wings", an introspective track about feeling like you’re growing as an artist and person, but simultaneously feeling invisible to the world.  It includes the band's previous 2024 singles, "Kicking Rocks" and the dance-infused "Morgan". The EP is rounded out by the cold yet soothing, "Unclear" and the chaotic title track itself.

GH has played countless shows throughout their hometown and across the Mid-Atlantic region. They were featured on Pittsburgh’s renowned radio station, WDVE, with a live interview and performance of, “All My Friends Wanna Be Doctors” earlier in 2024. Their former major releases include their highly energetic EP, “IN YOUR FACE” in December 2022 and their debut, experimental album, “My Box” in April 2021.
