BW 09 | Wisechild's Summer Solstice Mix - Dark Into Light

What is originality in music anymore? It's something I've struggled with as a producer and DJ for much of the past 10 years. As a producer I've pretty much given up on sounding original, but as a DJ I've always tried to find music that sounds original or at least attempts to do so. When it comes to dance floor music I've found it nearly impossible to find music that truly has an original sound to it, but I've been finding all sorts of abstract and eclectic Electronica and random tracks here and there that to me really feel like they're doing something different or going Against The Grain if you will....

When two of the worlds best electronica/downtempo producers and DJs, Bluetech and Dj Maggie respectively asked me to create a set for their streaming show Holotropic Happy Hour I knew this was the perfect opportunity to finally put together a set of these tracks! I hope you enjoy the journey!

With near perfect production chops and a deep knowledge and execution of music theory, Bluetech has covered IDM, ambient, house/techno and more. He also works with Android Jones on Microdose - a potent video/audio phantasmagoria and is an accomplished digital artist that obsesses over plants daily. His exclusive DJ set for FWD.DJ is a well executed and colorful journey of slow mutant house and various melodic excursions that is a real treat to take in.
