the low tones make me think of like, old swampy things. Like deep murky water full of weird shit with grabby hands. and the higher notes are very otherwordly and new; such a good contrast!

This is truly the most wonderful time of the year - purely magical. And I think it ought to be accompanied by music which beckons nostalgic warmth. This version of Dwell was born of late nights at a piano...always wondering if the melodies of the original could be rewritten in a rather free and spontaneous fashion. This is what emerged. It is best enjoyed under a star-lit sky as the snow falls  - of course with several angels & baby deer in your midst as you sip hot drinking chocolate. This is "The Vault" using the principles of Negative Harmony, and making my first attempt.

Essentially (assuming I did it right) You find what key a piece is in, (lets say Bb) and you find how far a note is from the Tonic in half steps. Then you place that note in the exact opposite distance (in half steps) from Tonic. Apply this to every aspect of the song and you have your song in Negative Harmony from its original.
