Eight years ago I was in my mom’s basement with my guitar and the most basic recording setup you can imagine.  I didn’t know anything about music production or anything at all really.  Somehow I came up with this melody that just couldn’t get out of my head.  It was probably the first moment I realized I might have written something good, so I wanted to sing it “one more time for those who are doubtful”.  While writing the lyrics (and feeling delightful), I looked at the clock, and it was 10:05 PM.  Since then I have written hundreds, probably thousands, of songs but this one stood the test of time.  Five Past Ten.

this song started on a rainy day in LA... it was all gray outside and i just started messing around until this "wuub wub wuub wub wubwubwubwubwub" thing appeared in my head... i didn't think much of it at first, but it turned into one of my favorite tracks i've ever made. writing the rest of it with Nevve was one of the most magical musical experiences i've ever had, she's brilliant. it's a different sound for me, but i'm super proud of it and i hope you all love it as much as i do <3 ENJOY!
