MONOMANIA is an effort to express how sound can simulate feelings. 
The track is part of a broader question, whether it is possible to recall, recycle and recreate emotions through sound, without losing their initial impact and power. Are we willing to accept that everything is lost once it happens? Can we look to the future  knowing that it doesn't exist? well.....

The source material comes from a 30-minutes-long live recording of a noise performance/ video
work, based on the film Begotten (1990) by E. Elias Mehrige, that took place at the 1st edition of
KINO-BRUITISM festival in Athens, Greece in January 2018.

BEGOTTEN

The primal material for this album is gathered from field recordings at various ancient places in Aticca, Greece (Prison of Swkrates, Hill of the Muses, Pnyx).
Then it was reworked and mixed with added voice and tribal instruments (ocarina, kalimba, percussion, whistles recorded live in situ) with analog effects.
The outcome is an effort to connect with the vibes that these places have and also to create a sound narrative in an imaginary ritual form, combining live improvisation and post production technics
