The inspiration for this song came from my two cats. The second I pull out a can of cat food, they go nuts! In "Catfood," I try to capture that chaotic rush and the long-awaited satisfaction of that gloopy can of goodness.

The inspiration for this song comes from the big city. On the surface, a bustling, confused mess of comings and goings. But peering past the rush...now THAT'S where things get interesting. As COVID's deathly grip gradually lifts, we are discovering a sort of  peace in urban life. A sort of beauty. A sort of music.

I've recently started creating music in Ableton Live 11. Before I had been using Soundtrap, which is a great free(ish) DAW for beginners, but can be very limited. I've learned a LOT about music theory on the way, too.

A quick song I made in Soundtrap! Cover art was done mostly in Canva (another awesome and free-ish program, go check it out at https://www.canva.com/).

I'm obsessed with cute samples so I used the star theme as an excuse to put a ton in there XD You can hear all kinds of jingly, sparkly sounds throughout the song.
