“Love To Be” is a song about wanting more. It’s for those times when you are crushing hard, and ready for that crush to evolve into something firmer. I wanted to capture that feeling in the arrangement and production by trying to make every section unique from the next, giving the song its own path of unexpected evolution and unfolding. I was extremely excited when sadie said she was down to collaborate and she really helped bring the second verse alive with her own perspective and artistic inclinations."

Brooklyn-based music composer, sound designer and performer Brian Wenner – previously known as Prism House – combines sample collage techniques and live electronic improvisation to create real-time compositions. His new album “Age of Execution” on Grind Select is out on November 10, 2023. We’re premiering the latest single, ‘Chop Shop,’

‘Chop Shop’ was recorded in a single improvisational take and embodies a scattered, frenetic energy. Short sound snippets were randomly arranged and layered to create evolving melodic and rhythmic phrases that bounce around the listener. The video by Giselle Angeles compliments the track by placing the music inside of various distinct 3-D visual environments that shift and pulse in time. The organic virtual landscapes add a human component and juxtaposition to the synthetic sounding musical ideas.”

Wenner’s experimental sound design in large-scale public performance spaces centres around improvised sample playback manipulation using a modular system and field recordings.

Brooklyn-based music composer and sound designer Brian Wenner, formerly known as Prism House, offers a captivating glimpse into his artistic evolution with the premiere of his track "Strange Brew." This experimental electronic composition is a product of his unique approach, combining sample collage techniques and live electronic improvisation. Wenner's innovative method involves the manipulation of various sampled content through his modular rig during improvisational jam sessions. From these sessions, he masterfully edited and weaved together a seamless and immersive sonic journey, encapsulating the freeform and exploratory spirit that defines his latest LP, "Age of Execution," set to be released on November 10, 2023.

Today's premiere, "Strange Brew," was crafted from spontaneous jam sessions involving playback and manipulation of an eclectic range of sampled content, all integrated into his modular rig. "Strange Brew" reflects the artistic freedom and exploration that permeates his forthcoming album, "Age of Execution." The result is a seamless and flowing piece of music, highlighting Wenner's skill in fusing elements into a compelling auditory experience.
