Just Another Weekend IV is DNamezys at his most volatile: darkwave and witch house pressure-cooked into a warped, reverbed wall of sound. Deep analog synths and distorted bass grind under driving electronic drums, while frantic tenor lines crack into trembling falsetto—half confession, half malfunction. Across four tracks, the EP spirals through insomnia, dissociation, addiction-numbness, humiliation, and the residue of trauma, capturing the kind of weekend that never ends—because it’s happening inside the body.

Content note: themes of self-harm ideation, psychological distress, substance use, and abuse.

Tracklist Overview:

1) DEEP CUT

A panic-diary rendered in static: morning headache, dead phone, pills by the bed, and a room that feels accusatory. The hook hits like a broken broadcast—“brain’s a broken radio”—while the production should feel claustrophobic: thick reverb, distorted low-end, and a beat that drives forward even when the narrator can’t. The instrumentals act as dissociation breaks—moments where the mind blanks before snapping back into dread.

2) AGAIN

Minimal words, maximum bruise. “AGAIN” is built like a looped humiliation ritual: short lines, cold cadence, no room for explanation—only the repeated act. It’s the EP’s most skeletal track, where the silence between phrases matters as much as the beat. The outro reads like a slow fade into black, suggesting emotional shutdown rather than resolution.

3) JUST FINE

The EP’s most deceptively catchy track: a bitter, neon-lit anthem of pretending. The chorus weaponizes irony—“yeah, I’m doing just fine”—over imagery of cheap gin, cracked screens, rain on glass, and intimacy that feels like self-harm by proxy. Sonically it wants a glossy surface with rot underneath: bright pads smeared by delay, bass distortion that blooms in the corners, and vocals that sound close enough to bruise.

4) STAIN

The closer is a trauma-afterimage: fragmented memories, body horror without gore, and the sense that “the stain” is permanent. The chorus is ritualistic—simple, blunt, repeating—while the “epic instrumental” sections should feel like a surge of overwhelm: towering pads, sub-bass pressure, and drums that sound like marching through a tunnel. It doesn’t heal; it documents what remains.
