Our homies at Stoney Roads recently toured the Berlin beatsmith Mazde. Not only did he absolutely nail each of the 6 shows on the tour, but he threw together an exclusive mix for us while he was in the country. Last year I had the absolute pleasure of assisting my amazing man on tour throughout Europe whilst he supported The Cat Empire.

There was a lot of driving, not much sleep, a lot of amazing food and the people were second to none.

We were lucky to grab a few days off and relax in Cahors which is an amazing place about a 3 hour drive from Bordeaux. ? We hired out the most amazing Air BnB which was situated right next to a castle. Yep.. you heard me...The history of this place was incredible. I introduced Tom to some very stinky cheese which we ate on fresh baguettes and we certainly enjoyed the wine and chocolate this place had to offer. Not to mention our extremely welcoming Air BnB host, Aymeric.

We were chilled so we thought we would record a version of Teardops by Massive Attack. So here it is.

Hey all!

Feels grooooovy to be back! I went a little MIA which was nice, but I feel like I have so much music, and I don't wanna hold back anymore. In this industry, you spend time trying to perfect everything, the plan, the music, the release - but it's never perfect, and there's always obstacles. So I decided I'm just going to put EVERYTHING out. And when I mean everything, its a LOT of music. Every 2-3 weeks, something special, whether it's a free release or something bigger.

I've always appreciated all you rocking with me, sticking around for my journey, and I'm excited to show you the next path.

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light. If you can, I encourage you to purchase a digital or physical copy of A Color Map of the Sun. If not simply support by sharing the music and sharing the idea. If there is any success to be had from this album, it will go back into my rule bending, never ending quest to channel beauty and taste through music and art.
