After a salubrious pause in our output, the Avenue Red Podcast resumes forward motion with the second installment in the series from one of our favourite DJ's and producers - Alessandro Crimi. This mix is inspired by the fresh autumnal vibes around his picturesque hometown of St. Gallen in the Swiss Alps, as he delivers a stunning blend of magical, dreamy house music full of blissful melodies, slick, grooving beats and soul-warming basslines. The craftiness of the mixing and well-considered transitions that glue tracks together so seamlessly are a lesson in truly innovative DJ'ing, making for a luxurious listening experience.

This 80-minute session neatly follows on from his stylistically similar guest mix on the last Avenue Red Radio Show that we did back in September. Alessandro shows that he is developing a very niche style that allows elements of his strong Dub Techno sensibilities (as a DJ and Producer) to bleed into his own unique vision of true deep house music. Avenue Red Podcast #027 - Alessandro Crimi

Now live at the Blur Podcasts, the DJ duo - Interstate 55! 

Having met in 1995 at a warehouse party on the south side of Chicago, they became press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine in Paris and Chicago for 3 years, with the two boys helping promote the Midwest sound in Europe, interviewing some of Chicago's biggest legends. The duo then evolved into an artist collective that helped book several Chicago DJs at public and private parties on the Paris scene, and several bookings on major radio stations. 

25 years after the best parties, the Interstate 55 collective is back to promote the underground on SoundCloud since last year, with “The Lake Shore Drive Series” podcasts, several invitations on top radio shows, and the release of the first productions planned for next year.

For these reasons and many more they are our guest for the 171st edition of the Blur Podcasts, which is now live on our Soundcloud, Youtube and Apple Podcasts pages.

Pablo Fatty Fatty joined us live in the Pav in September and what a night it was! In an Ireland, where venues are suffering Pablo really does gods works for the Irish disco scene. We were blown away by his Dublin Disco All Dayer Festival in October, an NYC inspired loft style party in Orlagh House that was headlined by Studio 54 legend Nicky Siano, on some beautiful Klipschorn speakers. This mix is a true reflection of the energy, nuance and variety Pablo brings to his live sets. Get this into your ears to kick your weekend off right!

The next mix in my series comes from my first international guest, Mihail P. An awesome DJ and selector with releases on labels such as Distant Worlds, Ferox, Seventh Sign, Verdant Recordings, Magnonic Signals, WWM, Nebulae Records, Prisoner Of Sound Records and Propersound Records. The internet brought us together and I have been playing some of his tracks so I'm very excited to present this mix.

Coming from a small town in East Macedonia called Vinica. Mihail grew up listening to his father's records like Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, La Bionda, Pink Floyd. He started DJing at about 15–16 years old, and  started producing very soon after that. He was always drawn by the more deeper side of house and techno and believes that it is also evident in his own productions too. UK techno and Detroit were his main inspirations. For this mix, Mihail P wanted to capture a special vibe. Stuff that inspired him back then and also newer music that has that particular vibe that he's always after. Cozy up!
