„Objets Trouvés“ is Twit One's third solo album on Melting Pot Music. If we count in his projects with Hulk Hodn (as Testiculo Y Uno), Summers Sons (as Syrup), Lazy Jones (as Flatpocket), Count Bass D and Fleur Earth, we are looking at 10+ LPs (LP stands for longplayer and we emphasize on this because we release every Twit One album on vinyl).

Isatta Sheriff and Koralle join forces on ‘Eat The Kiwi Skin’ - six tracks that unite the talents of the East London MC and the Bologna-based beat smith. Their first collabo ‘Laid Back’ gained 2,5 Mio. streams to date. Even though the music is made in Italy, ‘Eat The Kiwi Skin’ is a London sumting. ‘For Those Who Love – Beat Edit’ is the second of six beat edits. Koralle flipped the original instrumentals in a unique way for the beat lovers. 

Isatta’s track record includes collabos with Flying Lotus, Oddisee, Arrested Development and Athletic Progression. She is hosting a radio show, runs her own label Doctored Sound and works as a music writer. Koralle is one of the most in demand European beatmakers with a sound rooted in jazz and boom-bap. Since signing with MPM in 2019, he has released three albums and accumulated more than 30 million streams.

Carhartt WIP Radio welcomes the young label Counterweight, run by DJ Devastate, a producer from South Sweden that started as a DJ in the late nineties and has already released records with legends like Kutmasta Kurt and Masta Ace. Inspired by classic boom-bap hip hop, funk and jazz, he launched his label Counterweight last year to feature fresh music with the emphasis on soulful sounds to promote young and skilled newcomers. For Carhartt WIP Radio he has prepared a show that delivers unreleased and upcoming Counterweight tracks including exclusive music from producers like Max I Million, Suff Daddy and DJ Large, back catalogue releases from DJ Devastate himself as well as some remixes from back in the day. His mix showcases many different genres, from smooth instrumentals and jazz, to more classic boom-bap hip hop, giving the listener a slice of the Counterweight sound and what to expect in the future.

This year, all proceeds will be donated to the Natural Resources Defense Counsel, one of the world’s most effective environmental action organizations. 

Ho ho ho—Tartelet Records has once again reached into its secret stash of tricks and dug out some incredible gems. Following 2016’s compilation success with all proceeds sent to Syria’s White Helmets, the 2019 Christmas release has attracted an even broader spectrum of sound from nine of the label’s most honorable artists.  

Featuring Tartelet Records’ signature eclectic mix of genres, Christmas is saved with unreleased works by Wayne Snow and digitalluc, jitwam, Space Ghost, Glenn Astro, Kasper Marott, Verner, N.O.T.E, and label head Dirk 81. Each track has been handpicked by the artist themselves to represent their unique style in support of a bold charitable cause.  

This year, the Natural Resources Defense Counsel (NRDC) has been selected as the recipient of all proceeds. As one of the world’s most prominent environmental protection organizations, it strives to protect nature in ways that advance the long-term welfare of present and future generations. Tartelet Records is proud to support this important mission with its exclusive end-of-year release. 

Tartelet Records’ 2019 Christmas compilation can be downloaded for free but listeners are encouraged to donate what they feel is appropriate. All donations go towards the Natural Resources Defense Counsel to support our planet’s most pressing problems. To find out more visit www.nrdc.org.
