In its 4th​ ​installment, JIN, the Taipei, Taiwan-based label, continues its cosmic journey with a set of tracks that simmer between peak-time dance floor and early morning afterhours vibe.

First up see's Bangkok's Siamese Twins mainstay Sunju Hargun, 1/2 of Mogambo, returning to JIN with two A-side tracks. The first, “Chale”, is a modern ode to classic trance that will leave dancefloors from Bangkok to Berlin in ecstasy. His second track-フーイズカサンドラ("Who is Kassandra'') is a post peak-time 7-minute acid bomb that spins and reverberates in every direction.
The B-side features two remixes of “Chale”. First up, (our choice) is Barcelona's wunderkind Marc Piñol, who removes the trance needle and rebuilds the track creating a perfectly dubbed-our cosmic trip between musical galaxies.

This autumn, Atomnation is to serve up three remixes from Sam Goku's cultured East Dimensional Riddims album. The original full length landed in spring of this year, and now contemporary innovators Lauer, Paula Tape and Ineffekt all offer their own unique versions.

Goku sees this remix EP as a way of showcasing the sort of tunes he plays in his mixes, most recently for the RA podcast series as well as for Ransom Note and Live At Robert Johnson. The Chinese-born but long Munich-based artist is an assured DJ who unites his different heritages when he plays. He's someone who taps into the similar emotions and motivations of east and west and does so with a nuanced, storytelling brand of house and techno that is warm and uplifting.

Robert Johnson resident and pioneering German artist Lauer is the first to remix. His brilliantly lush take on 'Far Far Fantastic' is a gurgling, tightly woven mix of rippling synths and phased bass. It is constantly in a subtle upward arc, while a futuristic arp rises through the mix and eventually bigger, more driving drums breakthrough to take you to another level of hope and joy.

Milan-based Chilean Paula Tape has released on Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation and is a vital new wave talent. She blends Italo disco with experimental sounds in new and eclectic ways and when she debuted her remix of 'Earlier Forms' on the Mixmag Lab and it immediately stood out. It has a hefty 90s house vibe thanks to the booming kicks and feel-good pads. Watery effects, trippy motifs and chattery percussion add detail, but it is the majestic synth phrase that rises up and down the mix that will get the big reactions on the floor. It brings life and colour to the track in magically upbeat ways.

Dutch DJ and producer Ineffekt is not yet 20 but has a sound way beyond his years. He has proven that he can do it all from gloomy and trippy to bass-driven and ravey on labels like Intercept Records. There is a gorgeously open-air feel to the expansive melodies of his remix of 'Fisher's Theme' that swells the heart. They soar through the sky as the loose-limbed drums and organic percussion further uplift. Add in some wordless but emotive vocal cries and you have a classy and celebratory house track.

These three remixes enrich and expand on the originals in sympathetic new ways.

Intriguing electronic duo Pola Women land on Rework’s Exlove label with a fantastic new six track EP.
This duo is made up of Desiree Lune alongside Michel Kuebler, a pair who are split between Berlin and Stuttgart and are inspired by the aesthetics of 80s disco and cinema. Desiree is a singer and writer working on various different projects while studying art at the Kunstakademie Stuttgart. She is used to performing on stage and links here with Michel Kuebler, who is part of electronic bands Rework and She Lies and is adept at crafting synth-based songs and innovative drum machine loops. As Pola Women, the pair create manic rhythms and explore pulsing, immersive sound worlds that combine new wave synthscapes with a signature krautrock beat.
Desiree surprises throughout with haunting and icy vocal lines, they're melancholic and super cold and come in both German and English. That is the case from the off with excellent opener 'Disco Disco.' Her vocals glide over the chattery percussion and tight synth rhythms that are made to make you move. 'Walking Home' is a brooding and downbeat gem, with sombre chords and dejected vocals over more stark drum loops that hark back to the sound of bands like Joy Division and Depeche Mode.
There is a dystopian but absorbing atmosphere to 'Toxic Women' with its frazzled chords and tinny hits, then 'Express' gets a little more playful. There is a hint of disco dazzle to the melodies, while big piano chords lift the mood as synths fire across the mix like shooting stars. The chilly retro chords of 'Never Ever' get you in a trance as rugged arpeggiators make for a tough groove that is softened by more great vocal work from Desiree. An instrumental version of 'Disco Disco' closes down this EP in chugging Kosmische style.

After welcoming PCL to Slow Motion's Wrong Era off shoot back in June, label boss Fabrizio Mammarella makes his return to the parent imprint arm-in-arm with Italian retro-futurist producer Bottin for a brand new project: EYE-BM. The pair were jamming at CIMM studios when the release came to be; it's a melting pot of their combined musical passions. Backed by a remix from Italian synth wave icon Alexander Robotnick, the EP features three original tracks to get your body moving, which blend EBM, electro, Italo disco, cyberpunk and new beat.

Today we have the honor to release a prolongation of our “Make ___ Great Again” series with a brand new one revolving around Dream House. Close to Italo Disco, Dream House is a sub-genre of House and Trance music that appeared at the second half of the 90’s in Europe, with labels such as Dance Floor Corporation (DFC) or even ZYX Records.  

We’ve asked some of the best in the games to create a very diversified pallet of sub-sub-genres.  Alpine DJ with a fusion of Italo & Dream House, Mario Moretti with a flying club anthem, Tre Turner’s first official release with a more EBM approach filled with FM percussions, DJ Gear with a Deep Housy take, DJBoeing on a similar genre but with sunshine infused melodies and a catchy riff, Manuel Darquart with a Balearic downtempo acid grasping groove, Romain FX with a fast-paced mellow piano house jam, Val-Air to turn down the mood with a break-beat balearic tune and last but not least, Mangabey closing the compilation with a analog-tape & raw hip-hop infused house track.
