What do the Human League, Dolly Parton, Lindstrom & the Phenomenal Handclap Band all have in common.......? Ilya Santana has touched them all, with his magical remix fingers, leavin' them supa-high, and rolling on the dancefloor... with just the right touch of chunk.

Now though it's time for the spanish disco wizard's own original productions to shine as he gives us 'Big Foot' on London's Retrospective Recordings, an irrepressibly bubbly slice of cosmic disco that will refresh weary dancefloors like some giant interstellar jacuzzi.

Remixes come from Santana's fellow spaniards Rayko, Future Feelings and NELUE and Thomas Jackson who liked the track so much he remixed it twice.

On the flip side Italian born Berlin resident Franz Underwear ups the tempo with a stunning piece of slamming European musclebeat. Shades of Ibiza 88-89 pervade here; the kind of pumping, chunky synth action, Teutonic vocal exhortations and vaguely menacing but ultimately benign vibe that sent thousands of potty European kids totally round the bend and changed the world of dance music forever.

The https://soundcloud.com/discotexas imprint is back this november and return with a nicely sculpted nine tracks offering alongside "Duro" from Mexico City’s "Bufi", who delivers a breathtaking second LP to his evolving and expanding catalogue. 
 Bufi aka Mateo González Bufi, is a name known to many across South America and beyond following releases on the likes of "La Belle Records", Kitsuné, Electrique Music and his own imprint Duro over the past five years. Add to this remixes for the likes of "Little Dragon" and "Hot Chip" and you can see just why Bufi has gained the attention of many including Tensnake and Diplo, with the notable producer returning to Discotexas following his 2014 "Salvaje" EP release on the imprint. 
Having expertly merged an unconditional love for synthesizers and drum machines with a classical background, Bufi has gone on to develop an eclectic sound that subtly combines driving techno and slick disco with delicate jazz and classical influences, evidence of which can be found throughout the nine productions on offer straight out of Mexico City. 
 "Dan’s Return" here premiered, is a joint venture with https://soundcloud.com/zimmermusic , the rising French producer part of the  https://soundcloud.com/rochemusique crew. The pair produced "Dan’s Return" from a pre-recorded beat in Mexico City while Zimmer was touring in town. The tracks takes a nice dynamic with its bubbling, acid-tinged lead line met by resonant and deep chords that bring with them a groove that you can’t help but move to. 
Captivating and absorbing throughout, this album is yet another impressive piece of studio work from one of South America’s finest talents, and joins the list of notable releases to emerge from the Lisbon based Discotexas imprint as we enter into the latter stages of 2016.

Antenna! is the brand-new music project created by the seasoned Italian DJ and producer Andrea Bertolini. His particular attention and passion for stuff like Chicken Lips, Loose Joints, and The Emperor Machine, which have been sources of inspiration for him since day one, has generated the idea to start producing under the new moniker. Juno 106, Korg MonoPoly and SCI Pro-one are his special weapons, and disco, funk, house and psychedelic attitude are the special ingredients of his solid originals and collaborations. 

The track we chose to premiere, “Laguna”, opens his forthcoming EP to be released on vinyl on the promising label Lunetta11: "A disco ballade characterized by baroque arrangements that set a real romantic mood", taken from the release description. The funky guitar riffs, the cosmic-infused synth layers and the stark bassline Andrea put together created a must-have tune for the “space music” lovers out there.
