It's sometimes unexplainable; it can be simply a feeling and not always something tangible. Of course you're drawn in by landscapes or delicious cuisines, by the pace of life and the lifelong friends you make connections with. When you visit a new city, the questions swirl around your head 'can I see myself living here?', 'can I drop my life back home and start afresh here?' If the answers are yes, you might have some planning to do... 

After playing one of System 108's regular events in Moscow, Omnidisc boss Danny Daze became enchanted by the city and the crew behind the party-turned-label, so much so he extended his flight. He channels that passion for the Russian capital into his new release for System 108; a split EP alongside one of his production heroes and friends, Anthony Rother. Inspired by and dedicated to Moscow's atmosphere, the pair's Binary EP is a blend of raw dancefloor-orientated techno and electro, with the title track getting a remix from Etapp Kyle and Tarra who twit it into a bass-driven electro cut.

The water was rising and it was only so long now before the pool would overflow. Here he was, precariously balanced atop the diving board, watching on as the water engulfed everything down below. He wondered how long he might be able to stay here, in perfect balance as the deep blue engulfed the land on which he had once walked. 

The waves had rolled in from the coast, the force of their power had been immense as they plunged, what had been his city, into an aquatic expanse in which new life would soon grow. Some had lost their homes, whilst others had been quick to reinvent themselves within the new marine environment. See, for they were not from planet earth and this was not their home. They were here to create an underwater kingdom...

Ginno Russo has been remixed in a futuristic, electro infused style reminiscent of Drexciyan leanings and Detroit. Pépe has done a stellar job - this one is forthcoming on Modern Obscure Music.

The former has been soaking up electro vibes for decades in his native Miami, while the latter has long been practicing electro-techno alchemy from his outpost in Dublin, Ireland.
