As most of my fans e.g. Areh via @https://on.soundcloud.com/IG2Yvk0D2qdq7t3qPU probably know, my biggest inspiration is "Hans Zimmer", but also "Two Steps from Hell". Yesterday, I watched the movie "Batman vs. Superman" again. One of my absolute favorite tracks by Hans Zimmer, "Beautiful Lie," is featured in it. That made me think, why not try a mix of that piece with something from Top Gun? Maybe you’ll like it?

It is, once again, the most wonderful time of the year. For all of us struggling to feel like it's Christmas, let me whisk you away to a magical land for just a few moments with "Immanuel."

I chose to blend my favorite melodies from two songs: Carol of the Bells and Veni, Veni, Emmanuel (O Come O Come Emmanuel) into a seamless piece of music. Because of the complex nature of these songs, I decided not to include lyrics - rather to accentuate my favorite pieces of each song with cello, fiddle and mythical vocals. We are really excited to share our new 'Earth'-inspired single... This one's a bit different, and harks back to the sound of some of our songs from our Seasons album. The lyrics lean into the abstract, reflecting on the healing properties of rest and darkness - for ourselves and the environment around us. Alongside this, we aimed to capture the essence of night with the instrumentation - all of the 'night' sounds you hear in the track were actually recorded on our 'home' island of Ma Wan, here in Hong Kong.
