Red Greg really is the DJ's DJ and I'd go as far as to say he's number one when it comes to funk soul and disco music - he's really got it all! The technical ability, musicality, selection, deep crates and sure knows how to set a dancefloor alight 💃🔥

His DJ career really took flight after Floating Points reached out to him via email over some rare records which led to them meeting at Plastic People and subsequently Red Greg would go on to play at You're A Melody parties before branching out to share his gift with festivals and clubs all over Europe and beyond 🌍

Born and raised in LA on KDAY, The Beat, and Funkmosphere, The Alaia is attracted to music that has a feeling of perpetual summer and heat: soulful boogie funk, sexy disco, smooth g-funk, hard gangsta rap. She aspires to play music to make you bounce, to get you off your ass, to makes you want to cry, to make you wanna go home with a stranger, to makes you feel tuff enough to catch an attitude.

Paris based DJ LeBron, originally from Melbourne has been making waves for years now sharing the magic of 80's funk and soul with perfectly crafted mixes, edits and original tracks that you need to check out if you haven't already!

After being booked on the same line ups and parties as the likes of Breakbot, Dimitri From Paris and Folamour, he's been in high demand. This includes establishing a residency in Paris, as well as playing throughout France, Netherlands, Germany, Italy UK and throughout Europe. He has also had successful tours of the North America and Asia, in which his fan base has continued to grow.

For this week we're proud to introduce San Francisco based selector Mr. Big Happy of Parrish Council crew who I just had to invite after having my mind blown every day on IG thanks to his daily post series series showcasing 100 records from his collection which just came to an end last week. @bighappy has hand picked a few rare cuts, mostly on 45 from his personal collection to curate a 40 minute set of all b-side instrumentals and we're so excited to share it with you! 

“No matter how busy I get I make sure to slice out some time each day to do the necessary fieldwork on tracking down records. In the record collecting culture sharing rare music helps unearth forgotten gems that would otherwise stay forgotten. For the 20th show I'm excited to present the Parisian, Amsterdam based DJ @crackenmagma who I just had to invite after his eclectic Red Light Radio shows and online mixes had me transfixed.

Ben got his start DJing at KDVS-FM in Davis, CA and was a contributor to the legendary Beat Electric blog and label. He now resides in Sacramento, CA where been rocking the FFFReak parties with his DJ partner CrookOne for nearly 10 years now. He also produces and releases modern funk in a duo 'Love Cryme' alongside Tim Tucker on their label RysQue' Record. Needless to say this guy has been making his mark on the scene for a while now so it's an absolute please to have him guest on the series and I love the mix!!
