He Is The Voice I Hear’ is my first all new work since “Lady Of Sorrows.” It’s been a long journey from there to here. I’m so thrilled to continue the story and finally realize my dream of bringing together an ensemble of live musicians.

This record was a joy to create with my engineering and production partner, Rupert Murray, Davide Rossi on strings and Christoforo LaBarbera on keys. The vinyl was mastered and cut by Tim Xavier for Manmade Mastering.  We’ve also put some special touches into the design of the record itself. 

Incredible thanks to Adam Rowe, Andrew Gordon, Jake Nelson and everyone that helped make this record possible at all.

3 mixes from the late Dublin DJ Ger Byrne (RIP)
Friends of Ger's have been asking me lately to share some of his mixes (should have done it a long time ago in fairness) But here they are now, 3 of his mixes 2 of which are radio shows with Ger's voice.

Ger was a great influence to myself and a whole bunch of other Dublin DJ's who have gone on to do great things on the scene. We owe thanks to Ger for starting many of us on pirate radio in Dublin.

Together with myself and his nephew Dean we owned a ran dance station Fun Fm (FUN101). It was something Ger had great passion for. He had a way with the mic, the one line king. Each radio show flooded with texts of people trying to get in on the action and his buzz. He also had other radio shows on various Dublin dance stations. To top it all off Ger was a great fucking DJ, really good. His ear for a tune was amazing, I would usually hover over his shoulder to get a look at the track playing on the deck.  

Ger ran many nights around Dublin most notably his residency at Il Mondo (Old Night Owls)Where he ran many successful nights over the course of 2 years. He also DJ'd at many nights through various venues in Dublin over the years. 

Through the mid-late 2000's Ger had been battling Cancer and treatment affected Ger's ability to do his radio shows/gigs on a constant basis. He would continue to do some radio shows up until 2009. His last gig November 2008 at Crawdaddy was bitter sweet for Ger. He knew it to be his last gig but also seen it as a celebration with friends and family all in attendance on the sold out night. 

DJ's were Ger Byrne, Leigh Farrell, Andy C, Mellow D, Karl Lambert 

Sadly in May 2009 Ger passed away after a long battle with Cancer. He was a father, husband, a brother, a great friend to many, a man you would be happy to know. Ger may have passed but his music will live on..
