The hands of the blackbird clasp around the rope frozen by Volga's though mood. The boatman, tarnished by an hypothetical sun, seems to coincide with the interminable river. The wrinkling of his frozen fingers mixes up with Valdai’s hills outline.The slowly moves of the ship crew reflects a long lament toward the Caspian sea they will probably never reach. Zhuravel (@leonid-zhuravel) leads the boat of Feng Shit 23rd, on the banks of a river dreamscape infused by misty folk, ethereal ambient and erratic jazz.

Featherstone returns to Ernest's Way with the “Pivot” EP, offering up six tracks that effortlessly blur the lines between various electronic music genres.
The A-side kicks off with “Pivot” where a driving breakbeat rhythm propels the track forward, enhanced by ethereal vocal cuts and rhythmic bass sequences. “Underneath It All” lightens the mood with swung drums, call and response vocals, and emotive string pads that draw the listener in, before “Moving Towards You” rounds out the first side with weighty basslines and acidic leads.   

On the B-side, “After the Rain” locks into a repetitive rhythm while dreamy synths evolve and lift the energy as the track builds. “Eclipsed” deepens the experience, exploring a moodier and more intense sonic landscape. “Cipher” the final track, leaves the repetitive rhythm behind and delivers leftfield sound design scattered over a spatial broken beat.

Our fourth journey around the sonic sphere is captained by one of our favourite producers and Dj's , based in San Francisco but originating from Scotland, we are proud to present one of the most consistent and hard working producers in the game , It's Federsen.

Federsen, real name Chris Kelly, has been releasing music for the last 15 years and he has become a true master of Dub infused minimalism. He has crafted and moulded his own sound with every release he puts out. You know when you hear a Federsen track. Solid kicks and baselines, combined with beautiful sprinklings of crisp, rich percussion and a warm analog feel, but most importantly … Groove.   

His deep, dubby, and groovy records have seen releases on the likes of ETUI, Avant Roots, Lempuyang, Mixcult, Modernism, Ohm Series, Greyscale. All The big hitters, as well as his own label, Fifth Interval. 

  His most recent project is his new Label Alt Dub. With 2 releases now under his belt the future looks great for the label. The first release, a split EP with Hidden Sequence is one that been on heavy rotation in the Dub Explorations studio. For the second release he teams up with the legendary Stephen Hitchell aka Cv313 in a true meeting of Detroit and San Fran. Both artists rework each others tracks and the results are clear for all to hear.   

We are honoured to be able to host Chris on our platform again and look forward to seeing where he goes next and what’s to come from Alt Dub.

Here we are where we are, five years behind us, to briefly summarize, it is a great feeling to sail with all of you, giving us the selfless support in what we do, thank you for that.
There were moments of hesitation, self-examination and introspection all in order, to define why we act and do what we do, at the end there is only music, this magical ethereal cloud of universal communication.
Perhaps it is important to emphasize that we never considered much attention to mass production and a bunch of issues, instead of trying to find the quality and uniqueness of music that we represent, so it is with this compilation, with us are some new talented artists, for which we believe we will continue to cooperate, as well as artists who have already been published. It took a real pleasure to create this compilation, with so much good music and talented musicians, the future seems  bright and full of good vibrations, so enjoy another great release, peace and love!
